Southern Zone Opener tomorrow!!!!!

Unfortunatly, we have "trainees" tonight & I have to work... That's OK!!! I'll get off about 8am, go have breakfast with Sean B. Then, catch a quick nap & be ready when Tyler gets home from school about 2:15... We should be in the woods by 3pm!!!

GOOD LUCK My Friends!!!!!

went out in the P.M. and saw 3 mom doe's with a total of 6 fawns.  I let them walk. What a great afternoon with the temps in the low 70's, bright sunshine, the fall leaves are great looking and just the smell of fall. It just makes for a great day in the woods.
you should see how I use to shoot

Three of us got out early yesterday morning. Saw a lot of doe and turkeys. No shots taken but a great morning in the woods and fields.

I'm sitting hear debating if I should go this afternoon with temps in the mid 80s. I have a pretty long walk up a gradient hill. Good Luck all!!

I'm thinking of going out this afternoon, too.  Temps about 70 degrees with a westerly wind.

I was able to get my first traditional deer yesterday. Shared the story here -  http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=132109

A couple thoughts here. First, he didn't have that "I'm in rut" smell so it is definitely early for us in Western NY. No real signs of activity in that sense. Additionally, I saw 3 bucks hanging out together so no competition yet. I thought with the run of the colder weather for a while it would have been a bit more active. Definitely not though.

Hope you all have a great season as well.
