I've had 5 small bucks inside the 20yd mark in the last week but can't get a doe for anything.
Tuesday a 8pt dogged a huge doe near my stand for 10 minutes. He offered perfect broadside shots but the doe never ! I watched my wife (stands 80yds apart)trying to get a shot at a forkie working a scrape maybe 18yds from her but she just couldn't get a good angle. He then walked past me. Things are lively out there.Good luck to all.

I just got in from the trapline and The deer are on the move.  I need to skin some fur, take a shower and spend the rest of the day out there.  I saw 4 bucks on seperate does this morning.

Saw two little guys this morn and got wet. Hoping it will stop soon so I can sit all afternoon.

I know how you feel, Susan.  I have lost two and it really ruined both seasons.  Hopefully he survived.

Ya know... Funny thing is, on the foot platform of my ladder stand, the platform is held in place by 2 pieces of 1/8" X 3/4" flat steel. Looks pretty strong!!!!! However 4,  1/4" X 20 bolts & nuts hold the whole shebang together!!!!! I've seen ALOT of bolts break in my life!!!

I ALWAYS stand on the top rung of the ladder and snap my harness to the tether rope, before stepping up onto the foot platform!!!! Even after I've been sitting awhile, My heart is in my throat every time I stand up to stretch.....   :scared:

Old Woodchucker likes it MUCH better with his feet on the ground...
