Inserts for 1616's

I came across a couple dozen of Easton 1616's but can't seem to find any inserts or points. Any suggestions or ideas as to who carries them?

From what I have researched Easton does not make a insert for 1616.
Have to use a glue in nib point.

I have made inserts to fit 1616's from a 1716 insert.
Here is a quote from another source.

Take a 1716, screw a long point onto the end. (A blunt is perfect, 1 long 125 grain field point will work too).
Chuck the field point into a cordless drill. While spinning the insert, take a wide mill fill and remove enough aluminum until the insert will fit into the 1616 shaft.
(You only have to take .016 of the material away).
Nothing to it.

Yes that is true Easton doesn't make inserts for shafts smaller then 17XX.I have done the same thing,I have a field point for doing just that.I took a 175 gr. 5/16 point and ground down the point into a blunt for ease of chucking it in my drill.All you can buy are glue-in target points unless you make your own inserts.It doesn't take much to make an aluminum insert fit.
