No luck thus weekend, but i managed to do some scouting and found some good white oaks. Hope to get to hunt them later in the week.

On another note, any if you guys left handed? My buddy has gotten interested in trad, but since he's a lefty he can't really try out my bow. I was hoping there might be a MS tradganger in the area who is left handed.

Had a good doe at about 10 steps Saturday morning but she was very poor looking so I figured she had a fawn so I let her slide and got skunked saturday evening. Headed to the delta this weekend tho!

Jkm I am a lefty and would be more than happy to let someone shoot my bows if they would like.  I have my widow pa and two longbows.

Good to hear. You're in Starkville aren't you? I know my buddy works in Macon a few times a month, so he might be able to come to Starkville at some point. If not I'm sure we can meet up sometime after season.

I had an interesting hunt yesterday that turned out well. I had a stand near a pin oak that the deer were hammering. No matter what I did I would get winded as the deer would always circle down wind. To give myself a better chance I hung a dirty T shirt in the oak and moved my stand down wind about 50 yards. This fat old girl stopped by for a little sniff.

It's amazing how calm she and the other deer were assuming the bugger was 50 yards away.

I had 6 does get by me yesterday afternoon. I was trying to pick one out, but everytime I got a good angle there was always 2-3 others looking my way. I didn't force it, and let them walk away.

I have had a very hard time getting it to come together myself this year. I've been busted more than the last dozen combined. Bad shot angles, too far , too close you name it. I was glad to get this old gal and am in need of a couple more does for the freezer.

Been a really tough year for me. I missed a pig of a buck Thursday; but took this doe yesterday.
