Alum foot on carbon?

I think I used a 2314 and it was just about perfect for the trad grain 75/95

I did up a set of 55/75 GT and had issues with the 2117 over the carbon shaft as well. Wonder if the trad shafts are a little bigger due to the graphics? I used 2213 which was a nice fit.

2117 will work perfect..... I don't know how much luck you guys have had with these over footings. I know they work great for keeping your carbon from splintering by impacting the inerts.... but i had problems with the arrow snapping off clean behind the footing when using the same length over footing as my brass insert.... I'm having much better luck with shorter over footings.

What is a shorter footing?  (1", less than that?)
