As my handle name says, the Mojostick is hard to beat. I shot all of Jim's bows (aka JD) and owned a bunch and I found the 62" Mojostick to shine the best. Others with different draws like the shorter bows.
I've also had Dan Toelke make Chinooks for me. I'm not sure you can find a better "new" 1950's bow.
But then again, if you want a 1950's recurve, why not seek out a real 1950's recurve? I understand Bear made a bunch of them.
If you don't want a beat up old bow or the high price of a mint original, there's a lot of great refinished 1950's bows out there that are magazine cover worthy. Just a thought.
