How's it going folks,

Wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Cody Dumont and I am the owner of  Tenbrook Archery .  We build custom  Longbows  and    Recurves  one at a time, here in Santa Cruz, CA.  I am proud to say I have been a longtime member of Tradgang and absolutely love the traditional archery family we have here.

I have just become a SPONSOR and am super excited to introduce my bows to you. Right now I am making two models.  My Tenbrook Longbows come in lengths from 58"-64".  They are highly reflexed longbows with a brace height of 7". Quiet and fast with almost no handshock.  Consistently shoots an arrow @ 10gpp in the mid to upper 180's at 28" draw.  I believe that it's a fine hunting bow if I do say so myself.  One of my customers won 1st place in the Men's Longbow division shooting my Tenbrook Longbow at last years "Chamberlin Ranch" shoot.  Also the 2nd place shooter in Men's Longbow at last years "Western States Trad Rendezvous" was shooting a Tenbrook Longbow.  These are the two biggest trad archery events held in CA that I know of.

The other bows I am building are my Tenbrook Recurves.  They come in two lengths 43" & 49".  The 43" version works for shooters with a draw under 29".  The 49" version will draw smooth out to 30.5".  Both of these bows have a brace height of 9" and are very quiet with no handshock.  These are the ultimate hunting bow for thick brush, tree stands and hunting blinds because of their compact size.  They are AMAZING little bows!

Both Bows come with a SBD 8-strand High Performance String, Bow Sock and 2-Year Warranty.

Anyhow just wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself and my bows.  If you have a some time please take a look around my website.  I hope you like what you see.

Thanks!

What's the strung length of your 43"er?  Will you build these with phenolic or dymonwood risers?  Looks good.. Very much like my wright stalkers..

I like the looks of those longbows!

Maybe i missed it, but is there something on your site that show recommended bow length based on draw lengths?

39.75" and yes I can do Phenolic or Dymondwood.  These bows are VERY similar to a Wright's Stalker.  Both are based on the old Herter's Recurves.

The 58" and 60" draw out to about 29".  The 62" and 64" draw smooth to about 31"-32".

Thanks!

Beautiful work Cody. I find myself south of Carmel from time to time and my wife always makes me take her to Santa Cruz when we're there. I'm thinking I may have found something to do while she's at the boardwalk. I'm glad that recurve isn't left handed or I'd probably several hundred dollars poorer...

What speed do you see off of the 43" recurve?  I've always liked the looks of those little compact recurves but I've never seen one in person.

Wow, neat looking bows but with anything over, say, 26" draw, the finger pinch at full draw with that recurve must be something else.

Cool, thank you for sharing

I own a couple Herters 46”ers. That 43”er definitely looks somewhat like them. I love the way they shoot. But of course I only draw 27".  Like the wood combo on the Koa.  And very compact.
Any day above ground is a good day!

I do have a ? About your tip overlays on the shorty curve. They don't go down the limb very far, and I would think they'd be pretty stressed considering such a small area of epoxy holding them on. Any worry bout blowing a tip? Or them not adding much reinforcement for a ff string? Good lookin bows btw for sure. I've been admiring your work a good while now.

Cody, that recurve looks like it could be the cat's meow for bowfishing or hunting from a canoe or kayak.  The string angle is likely an issue for long draw's but. . have you ever shot that thing using a thumb ring or something similar ?
