Old tree died, had to find a new one.
« on: October 07, 2013, 07:49:00 AM »
Went out past morning and found a tree I had been sitting against for a few years had died as well as some others around it. I don't like to sit against dead trees because I don't need any big limbs, or the tree coming down on me. So, I had to fuss around and find a new spot. Picked this one tucked back closer to the hill side. Didn't sit long because of the warm  weather. Will see how it goes in a few days.

I think your new seat is perfect.  I wish I had a stand site so perfect.  Mine are almost all in a marsh and it is so thick and tight that during early season you cab't even SEE 15 yards, much less shoot that far.

Good luck and shoot straight

It happens; have a tree on the back of my place I've used for several years. It's declining so I figured it would be best to climb a different one; really liked that tree and you get used to the spot - kind of a bummer isn't it.
