Widow Spine questions
« on: October 07, 2013, 06:09:00 PM »
I am wondering what spined arrows you guys shoot on your widow.  If you don't mind, post the draw weight and spine.

Thanks,
Daniel

I currently shoot 80-85 tapered Surewoods tipped with 160 grains out of my 51 @ 28" PSA.   My draw length is 27.5".   Another combo that works for me is a 60-65 POC arrow tipped with 125 grains.   Your mileage may vary...

I am playing with mine right now some and it seems to like a full length easton axis traditional 400 with the 75 grain HIT insert and 225 grain tips or the arrow dynamics traditionals with 200-250 grain tips and 78 grain inserts. Shooting a PLx 60# @ 28" I draw 27.5"

thank you for all the replies!  I acquired a MAIII that is #53@28.  Does anyone have any suggestions for the arrow i should be using?

I have 2 options,
3555 goldtip trad blems and
5575 nugent trad blems that are cut to 30.5 that currently have 100 grain inserts and 125 grain points.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Seems as if I'm using a stiffer arrow than most. 27/55 PSA with Beman 340, 28.75" with 250 grains up front. Tried a bunch of .400 spine shafts, but they were all still weak with my desired FOC.
