If you soak the skull (not the antlers, but only the skull part) in water and dawn dish soap for aobut a week it will remove the oil from the skull. If the oil is not removed it will yellow and be shinny and wet for a very longtime. after you soak it in dawn for a week or so you can whiten it with either kills spray paint or 40 volume peroxide and a paint brush. then seal it with a thin coat of arcylic semi gloss or flat spray paint. the whitening is optional but if there is oil in the bone it will take years to leach out on its own.That sure is a beautiful set of horns and I just want you to be able to enjoy it for many years to come.
