BW super sticktite glove?
« on: October 11, 2013, 09:27:00 PM »
I'd like to try one of these, are they similar to the American Leathers bigshot? Do they have the same nylon on the fingers?

Thanks

No they are not similar.  The nylon is stitched at front and back, not along the sides.  Works good though but really no feel of the string.

I love mine....doubt I'll go back to one of the tabs I've been shooting for the last two years.  I also have an AL Big Shot, but the nylon in the stalls is just way too stiff for my liking.

When I got the Stick Tite I couldn't get my fingers all the way into the stalls, so after a two minute soak of the stalls in hot water, I was able to work my fingers down into the stalls and went to shooting the glove dry.  After about 50 shots I hung it in the sun for a few hours, then coated the ends of my fingers with mink oil and worked it around inside the stalls.  At the end of the shooting day I mink oiled the outside of the glove and hung it to dry.

I now have a perfect fitting glove that is supple and gives a good feeling of the string.  A good friend just traded me one in exchange for the big shot.  Win/Win

I shot immensely better once I got one and will never use another glove. It does take a lot of shooting to break it in though

If you search it on google or this sites search function I did a review/overview of mine.
They are perfect!!!! I rubbed mine with conditioner heavily and shot it in. Excellent craftsmanship, great protection and still a little string feel (pressure only).  And the price for the quality is unbelievable, I now have 3 all broken in and ready to go.  Hands down the best glove I have owned.

Yup.  Always liked a thinner glove with "feel."  But I had a finger problem so I went to this.  SO glad I did.  In short order I had it broke in and I feel the string just fine. I got the XL which gave me plenty of room to soak and shrink.  I also trimmed the underside of the stalls where they touched the creased of my middle joint when I bent my fingers. I really love this thing.

I got one and didn't like the feel of not feeling the string, so I removed the nylon and love the glove now. Like KSdan I also removed some material from the bottom of the stalls and liked it a lot more.

BTW-  there is the regular Sticktite and the Super Sticktite.  The Super has the nylon overlays.  I actually like the regular better without the overlays. Last thing- Hard to beat the price at just under $20.

Good info guys! Believe I'll give one a whirl too.
