got home from work last night at 5:30 earliest I've been home all week. Grabbed my bow, huntmore chair, and ghillie suit and headed for a ground blind behind the house.
wind was perfect out of the southeast right in my face. At 7:10 a nice buck came out of the woods 60 yards across the field from me, got to watch him work a tree and make a scrape.
I was thanking the Lord for the experience and prayed that the buck would come my way. After he finished his scape the turned straight at me and started feeding very slowly towards me. Legal shooting hours end 1/2 hour after sunset which put it a 7:40 yesterday. At 7:30 the buck was feeding head on at 20 yards now I was praying for the buck to turn broadside. Finally the buck made it to the edge of the field and turned to my right I drew as he came out from behind the crooked cherry tree in the pic above, picked my spot and let the arrow go. I couldn't see the arrow in flight due to the lowlight conditions but the shot felt good and the hit sounded good. The hard hit buck made a loop in the field and ran off of the left side of the field. I looked at my watch it was 7:37 three minutes to spare!
