KTJ,
Congrats on a great deer, but you were supposed to shoot it at dusk so we could see the flashlight blood-trail comparison!  You could have gone back that night and made it a tougher test, lol!  Actually, a couple weeks ago I had to go back to a blood trail the next day and retrieve a rechargeable spotlight that I got tired of caring when the battery died.  I was a bit surprised to see how good the trail still looked.  It had dried a bit, but not really darkened any. I hadn't seen a day-old trail in a long time, as where/when I hunt you either find them same night or lose them to spoilage or coyotes!

How much you reckon that doe weighed? She sure looks a bit larger than the Texas does I am used to!

Congrats, TJ!

Don't know Bisch but I would guess around 90-100 lbs after she was cored out.

Tom, did that light work very good for blood trailing her?       You know that I could not resist, being the prankster that I am!

Congrats! Great shot!
I know Benjy. Not long after I released I had that same thought. Haha. I tell you what though. Walking in that morning with the light on that ultra low 9 lumen setting was very cool. The benefit to it other than you not alarming deer to your whereabouts with a bright beam was as it is so low it doesn't ruin your night vision and I could still make out the tree tops making it easier finding my stand.
