As many have said- depends where you are hunting. I can have deer at ANY TIME of day depending on the set-up in regards food sources, bedding areas, weather fronts, temp, and specifically the mating season.
My 2c here- Now don't even get me started on the moon discussion. . . FAR more important factors in our fall rut routine than the moon; i.e food cycle, pressure, weather, doe-buck ratio, phase, etc. FACT: Animal hormones are triggered the same time every year in any given area. The rut is virtually the same time, same phases, same bat station every year- (food and pecking order, cruising, checking out doe family groups, first mature does in estrous, 28 days later peak, lock-down, cruising, sex is done- I am hungry!) No doubt variables affect movement at certain times- but the rut is the rut. Does drop fawns virtually same time every year!
My 2C. . . probably all it is worth I suppose. (It sure does not get me articles in Hunting Magazines!)
