Broadhead sharpening with metal files

I've been listening to posts about sharpening my snuffers to hair popping sharpness.  I purchased a 12" Nicholson file and a chainsaw sharpening file now.  Drawing the broadhead across the file doesn't fell like it is doing much and the chainsaw sharpener feels like it is doing even less.  Where do you suggest I start now that I have the tools?

I push the file across two blades at a time.  I use moderate pressure at first and lighten as I go.  One stroke, turn, one stroke, turn for about 30.  Finish with a crock stick or diamond hone.

Make sure you are pushing the file teeth into the steel.  A file only cuts in one direction.  Pulling the file backwards only dulls the file teeth.  The links that Charlie posted are pretty good.

Thanks for link for some reason my phone won't download video from web sites other than you tube.  I'm about to upgrade operating system may fix problem we'll see.  I am pulling the broadhead toward me with the file stationary.   Definitely easier to keep broadhead flat on nicholson file than the chainsaw file though

You probably won't be able to keep the edge flat drawing the head along the small flat file.  Hold the shaft with the broadhead pointing away from you.  Lay the file flat across two blades and stroke it lightly from heel to point.  Rotate 1/3 between strokes.
