deer and weather

Do ( in your opinion/ experience) you think deer move better before or after a good rain? I personally have killed them at all times of a weather system but with a rifle. Just trying to dial in a bit more for my bow season.

I have better luck right after a rain.

A light drizzle doesn't hamper deer movement at all, in my experience.  An approaching cold front can have deer feeding in the oopen in the middle of he day.

I always have enjoyed the time before a major weather system. But I've killed so many deer during a light rain that it's not funny. I love a light rain. You can stalk easily and the deer seem to move all day.

I have seen considerable movement just before and just after a front moves in. Light rain does not seem to hamper movement much but heavy rains and high winds seems to keep them under cover. Also, I like a light fog as it seems they sometimes remain active longer. I used to like hunting when it is very, very cold as they seemed to move a lot, but as I get older and more sensitive to low temperatures, they have to move without me.

I am big fan of hunting cold fronts especially after. They move great after a hard rain as well. Like others have said if it is a light one their movement won't be hindered.

A light drizzle is hard to beat. I really like it when you get those days that just tickles the leaves. If you are inside the woods you don't even get wet.

I tend to see more movement after the front, especially a good two day blow.

After a rain , the crunchy leaves help keep the noise down on your stand and I think the deer sometimes hunker down in the rain and get moving when it quits .

Think I've done better after the front comes through.
