It was a warm weekend for bowhunting here in Michigan, but with south winds I had a number of stands that put me between bedding and feeding areas. I ended up taking a doe with my Silvertip longbow using Surewood arrows and a 160 VPA head and another with my Silvertip recurve using an Axis Traditional and a 200 grain VPA.
The first shot was 15 yards and I was lucky. My lower limb just barely clipped a limb as I released and I hit a bit further back than I wanted, but I went through the liver and she only went about 100 yards. The second shot was 18 yards and I hit her perfectly. 80 yards and she was down.
On another note, I used my KUIU Tiburon clothing due to the heat and it worked as advertised I was comfortable. I didn't buy the KUIU for whitetail hunting as I am normally a wool plaid guy, but it worked great this weekend.
Unfortunately my pictures didn't come out very well with the darkness and humidity. I have plenty in my mind.
