Longbow vs Compound
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:47:00 PM »
This older man with a longbow walks up to the state champion unlimited freestyle bow hunter on a 3D course and says " I will bet you $1000.00 that I can beat you on this 3D course shooting 60 arrows if you will give me two I gotchas . " Well the compound shooter thought what easy money this will be and said " Your on . "

The first target the old man shot first , was a 25yd. shot , he hit about 2" out of the bull but was still in the kill zone . The compound man just laughed , knocked an arrow , hooked his release , drew back , took a deep breath and just as his finger started to squeeze the trigger the old man goosed him and yelled " I GOTCHA ! "

Well after the contest the compound man was shaking and sweatting so nervously he could hardly talk . His fans were wondering what was wrong with him and one asked " Why are you so shook up ? The compound man answered " Have you ever tried to shoot a 3D course with a guy that has one I gotcha left ?   :scared:

Now THAT's funny right there!!!!!

Reminds me of a fellow TradGanger and friend here...

The un-named fellow, goes to a 3-D shoot & a couple Wheely guys are snickering over his selfbow...

Our friend says, I'll bet you $100, I can make a shot that you can't make... BUT, you have to make the shot EXACTLY the way I do!!! The wheely guy chuckles & says yer on!!!"

Our friend takes his selfbow, tosses it about 30 feet in the air... walks over & wacks it against a tree... Then walks up to about 20yds, sits down cross-legged and puts 1 in the bulleye. "Your turn".....

The wheely guy looks flabbergasted!!!!! "Well, I'm NOT throwing my bow!!!!!" he said

His compound buddy just smiled & said.....

"You better throw that bow... Or open your wallet!!!"
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!
