Judging by those little red flecks on that there piece of wood (and leaves) that the arrow passed just before hitting its resting point, I suspect you are correct.

Another story to be heard !

Well this morning i got tucked into my pop-up tent well before daylight. On the way in, i had parked at the landowner's house, like i normally do. As i pulled in this morning i couldnt help but notice the Un-Godly amount of eyes looking at me, when i got done counting there were 11 does and fawns.

Not a antler in the bunch! I got permission to hunt this property because of such issue. The lady honestly would plant her garden in potatoes, and wake up the next morning too find them all dug up. That my friends, is WAAAYYY to many deer.

I was referred to her by a friend of my grandmother, she told Shirley that i was walking death, too call me in. LOL

Oh yea, cant say enough about a low-poundage set up, i killed this with a #40 Omega Shortbow, pushing a 135 gr escalite, and a Carbon Express Pile Driver. This pic is the broadhead buried in a log after blowing through the deer.

Im set up about 10 yards from a loaded apple tree, and they seem to really be hitting it hard. I had alot of confidence, and that was soon confirmed when i heard a deer headed my way.

I kept thinking it was going to pop up at the apple tree, but to my suprise i saw a nose sticking out from the side of my window, about 3 yards away. Did i mention i love ground blinds?!

She had no idea i was there, and before long was broadside at 8-10 yards.

I picked a spot, held, and released. Too my horror it sound like a gun going off, i had gotten too close to the window in all the excitement, and my limb had hit it.

Unfortunatly for the deer, i saw the blue nocturnal light blow through her chest, i let out just a little sigh of relief too say the least!!

She took about 10 steps, stood there for a few seconds, and then crashed. Talk about lethal!!

Directly above my limb you will see a white dot, that is her belly. (she kicked and squirmed down the hill a ways)

All this happened right after daybreak as you can see
