Chuck,

Have your   lovely lady sew in a divider on one side of the inside for your currers, saw, and knife.  The othe side of the inside a pocket for extra bpwstring, tags, bowstringer, and fire starter.  Add a couple tabs on the outside so you can lash your heavy coat on.  Add some holes to the strap to allow adjustment and you will have perfection.

Sign me up for one to pick up at Kzoo and make sure there are a couple of the new zip bottle coozies with it!

Chuck, i would stay away from the leather, just me, maybe use the nylon in the bottom to protect from holes.
it would be nice to have a compartment inside that can be securely closed to keep keys, wallet ect in.

Very nice Chuck, some good ideas mentioned above. I would definetly keep the strap attachment across the whole top of the bag as it is. I think that will help the bag keep its shape better when you poke it full of goodies, as opposed to the strap attatched to the corners the bag tends to pucker with weight in it.

Right on Eric,
This bag has not seen any field time yet but it hangs so nice. I am anxious to work this design out.
Thanks to you all for the input. Good ideas and we appreciate it. Keep it coming.

Get one worked out Chuck and send it to me.
Better yet, you and the boys come for a late season hunt and bring it.

I'd be happy to field test one at Hunt Wild Things in SC Dec 6-8  ;)

They look good, but looking at the strap, is it made right and left or is it ambidextrious?

love the art. maybe a leather adjustable strap? and rounded out at the bottom just a bit so nothing gets stuck in those corners.

I'm kind of curious too, if no response check out the ones G.F. Asbell offers in his web. There is one 15"X12" for $39.95.
It might be just the thing for a days walk or hunt?

Tough to beat the Asbell haversack for the price. The Bison Gear bag is also good, but a little more expensive. Looks like Two Tracks decided not to get in the haversack business.
