my first ever kill with a recurve
« on: September 09, 2007, 08:53:00 PM »
just got back from texas where i took my first animal with my recurve. i shot a gold medal merino/rambo ram which scored 110 3/8ths inches. he came in at 11 yards and i was up in a ladder stand about 8 to 10 ft in the air inside some cedar trees where i was well camoed out. he came in with two other rams. he took off about 60 yards and dropped. since he is my first with a traditional bow i am having a shoulder mount of him for my wall with my deer
just wanted to let you know and i hope to have a deer this year as well
thanks for your time and i hope to have some pictures tomorrow morning to post or have help posting them

thanks for doing that for me. the guy who is doing the work does a lot of the ranches rams and from what i saw he said my ram will come out really well so i am pretty pumped. he was my first and i know not my last. this fall i am going to try my luck at a whitetail and see if i can take something like that as well. i am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping i can get a shot within my range
