fast flight or not?
« on: October 25, 2013, 11:58:00 AM »
How do I know if I can use a fast flight string?
I have a 52" Red Wing Hunter, can I use a fast flight?
An archer tries to find ways to shoot further more accurately, a bowhunter tries to get as close as possible to ensure his shot is accurate.

B-55 is the better polyeser material.

Some folks have reported good results with HMPE ("fast flight") materials, but it's a crap shoot.  Several years ago there were some people that loved B-75 and PENN 66...and some people blew up bows with them.

My personal opinion is I'd never use anything other than polyester on an old bow.
