What's Some Good VANES to Try??

Hey all,
I have a Hoyt Excel with some ILF limbs that I have been getting used to. I am using an elevated rest and it works well. Been shooting really good with it.
I thought it would be a good idea to try some vanes on 3 or 4 arrows just in case. The problem is I don't know which ones would be a good fit.
Seems like every vane I see is 2 inches long. I guess those wheel guys like those teeny tiny vanes these days.
I have some NAP Quick Spin 4 inch vanes in my box that I am probably going to try, but they aren't made anymore.
I have also thought of giving those Bi-Delta Rain Vanes a try.
Any ideas on what has worked well for you?
Thanks
Nalajr

Those Quick Spins are my favorites, sad to hear they are not made any more. I have had much better luck with the Blazer and AAE than the Raivane.

If anyone knows where I can find some of the 4 inch Quick Spins with the little black thing on one of the edges of the vane, please post it. I'd like to pick up a few more in case.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out.

I have to tell you that the Blazer vanes shoot very well. There's a reason they are popular. Out of a tradbow, I have no trouble with them even off-the-shelf, with the cock vane turned inward. They are so short that by the time they reach the shelf after the shot, they clear it completely due to paradox. With an elevated rest they should be perfect!

I shoot vanes on a couple of ILF bows I have. One is a 17" Morrison ILF metal riser with a plunger and magnetic rest and use 4" NAP Quick spin.Another is a 25" PSE riser and shoot a 2" Blazer vane. These are my only two bows I shoot vanes on.They both have a raised rest,a magnetic flipper with a plunger.

5 inch Marco parabolic vanes chopped to 41/2" shield cut. Softest vane I have found to date.

I have one arrow that I found with Blazer vanes...it is 29 inches, carbon and .300 spine...shooting it off the shelf with my 65 pound r/d longbow I would say it flies great...I agree that in a case like this paradox sure appears to be our friend
