Favorite Brodhead!!!!
« on: October 27, 2013, 11:49:00 PM »
Okay FOLKS...

If you could choose only ONE broadhead to hunt with for the rest of your life for all game animals, what would it be?

I ask this because I like to hear testimonials as I am newer to traditional bow hunting. I Personally really like the ribtek, however I cant seem to find them anywhere!

Curious what's everyone's favorite

magnus 1 2 blade 145 grain glue on. But i also have not bought any of the new versions yet as i still have about 10 packs of them from when they were made by the original magnus. if the new version is made the same with the same metal i will continue to use them.

I would have to say the Stinger 4 blade although the Bear razorhead is up there close to it.

Hmmmm...I have most of the current traditional heads 2, 3 & 4 blade, double and single bevel.  All are great.

I have killed the most things with Zwickey 2 blade Deltas.  Easy to sharpen, silent, inexpensive, durable, fly good; very traditional & 'historic'.  Have also killed a bunch of deer with Snuffers.  Most frustrated with Grizzlys (Zipper Kodiaks now) on deer but have still have had success.  I believe in the Grizzly concept but question blood trail effectiveness for deer.  Many examples to prove me otherwise though.

Buck in my avatar was killed with an Abowyer Wapiti.  One of my favorites.

Too many to choose from actually but also liking the Big Game heads by Centaur and Simmons Tree Sharks but haven't killed anything with either...yet.

I could hunt the rest of my life with Zwickey  2 blade Deltas...all things considered.

Kris

I like the ribteks myself....they are hard to find though. I try to pick up used ones whenever I can.
