Molle Pack Frame on Treestand (pic)
« on: October 29, 2013, 02:14:00 PM »
I was browsing one day on another thread and someone was wanting to see a pic of a Molle Frame Pack with straps and belt attached to a tree stand. I couldn't find the thread so I snapped a pic of mine on my way out to this afternoons hunt and started a new thread. I picked up this pack frame with shoulder straps and kidney belt for $29 brand new on the internet. I originally had it attached to my stand with zip ties but eventually just used some small bolts that attached to the braces that go against the tree. I used some water based spray paint to dull it up a bit..It makes carrying the stand a lot more comfortable. The frame just hangs off the bottom of the stand when in use..

I use the straps & frame with my Lone Wolf attached with zip ties.  Oh so comfortable to carry stand & sticks with this setup.  Excellent!

If the Molle is too much for you, you can use alice pack straps from your local military surplus shop. They are not quite as comfortable but they are certainly way more comfortable than the thin straps that come with most of the stands and 1/2 the price of the molle.

Good loaoking system! Thanks for the pix.
I will be heading over to my local military surplus. currently I am using the Alice straps on a Lone wolf.
Is there any room on the frame for adding a pack? Strapping a coat/jacket?

Oooh I like this! I am short and use a summit viper. I love the stand but the straps are so uncomfortable. Carrying this and back pack, plus bow can be quite cumbersome. Getting a big strain in neck area while loaded.
Looking forward to more pix!    :clapper:      :clapper:

I have Molle straps on all my stands, love them. When I pare the straps to the frame for carrying my pack and summit tree seat for ground blind hunting I get a lot of creaking from the Molle straps when I move. Any way to silence these straps? Military guys should know.
