Pulled a 3 hour ride for just an afternoon hunt but it paid off. They are small deer and this one is on the smaller side but they sure eat good.

Nice work Terry. I've got that Kimsha I got from you all tuned up and ready to go. Just put the quiver on it yesterday and stuffed it with some Douglas Fir.

Congrats! They sure are cool little deer. I'm not far from them just never made the time to go after them.

I was over on the eastern shore this summer, and saw herds of sika deer in certain areas. I'd love to hunt them some day.
Coincidentally: While staying in Easton, MD (near Chesapeake Bay) I spotted a couple of out-sized whitetail bucks feeding in an alfalfa field every evening...both bucks were huge, with tall racks.

It is a long ride down there but glad it payed off. I plan to do the same Friday. Was tinkering with the idea of leaving 2AM and hunt both morning and evening but the rain may wash out the morning hunt. I'm staying down Friday for work party at camp Sat.
