A "parting shot" is not what William Tell's arrow did to the hair of the apple holder.
"Rule of thumb" is not used to measure fingers.

Telling another man that he needs to stiffen up his spine is fightin' words in some parts.

When I hear of someone "healing" a longbow, I picture a really dramatic cure of a sick bow.

A "static tip" is not telling someone that they are about to receive a small electrical shock.

This longbow measures 70" tip to tip.

And this longbow measures 56" tip to tip.  Isn't that a shortbow?

My 7 yr old son:  How do you know where to aim?
Me:  I don't aim.  I shoot instinctive.  I just look where I want the arrow to hit.
Son:  You sure look at the wrong place a lot!

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

"Cresting"-has nothing to do with a river at flood stage.
"Straight profile"- is not a profile option for a dating site.
"D shaped"-NOT a way to describe female anatomy.
