along another ditch.
« on: November 03, 2013, 04:37:00 AM »
Was goofing around the house this morning and the dog came up to me and said they are going to be out this after noon.

First two stands nothing. Third stand old apricots . Park the truck next to some high weeds to hide it. walk maybe 250 yards up wind of it ,find a good tree with high weeds all around it. Thinking that it will come from the front up wind from me . Trucks in back and that over there and that's over there buy that stuff . Yep going to come from there.

About on the sixth rabbit scream  one trots past me from behind stops in front of me see's me and its gone.

next couple stand no takers.

Was driving along a ditch going to another place. Got this feeling . The ditch had water in it so I used a pump for my blind. Started with the rabbit stuff and right away there she was 15 yards  out to my right staring at me. She looks out to the orchard I draw she looks back at me looks back into the orchard takes a step and the arrow hits home. She spins and takes off. The arrow was sticking out the far side as she ran off..
She left something behind.

Surprised there are any left with you around.  I liked you last head shot. Keep nailing 'em.

Well done sir!

I am beginning to think you have more success on yotes with your bow than I do with a rifle!

Nice!  I've called in a few critters and knocked them off with a rifle, but nothing with a bow.
Do you use an electronic caller, or a mouth call?  The attention drawn by blowing a mouth call would sure make drawing a bow undetected extremely hard to do.  Whatever you are doing, it works!
