"Best Friend Bow"

I take to the woods
Each season I go
And in my hand I carry
My best friend bow
It has been with me
Year after year
Felling the mightiest of chipmunks
To the smallest of deer
It's a killing machine
If I do my part
Flinging arrow after arrow
Some through the heart
She's got sweet bent limbs
And graceful lines
Limb tips made
From a bucks tall tines
She's not a speed demon
But, fast as need be
Burying arrows in game
Even some in a tree
Her riser is made
Of beautiful bacote
The grip is red stained
From the blood of a 'yote
So, when it's time to hit the field
I know where to go
Reach up on the wall
And grab my best friend bow

Excellent.......once again!

Don't know if I missed it or not.......did you ever get a shot off at one of those blacktails up there?

Bisch, I am in a holding pattern right now. Waiting on the late season to start. (Nov. 16th) I hope to change this empty streak I've been on as the bucks should be pretty active.    :D
