New Bowhunter, Bowyer is born
« on: November 03, 2013, 06:05:00 PM »

Guys this is Logan Mays, he came to my shop back in the summer and did a one on one bow building class. At the time of the class he was only 13 years old. Logan has been making arrows and working on another bow since his class as well as shooting to get ready to deer hunt here in Arkansas. He called me this morning from the field as soon as he found this deer, the first he has ever taken with a bow and one that he made himself in the class. I was as excited as he was when he called, makes you proud to see the stuff being used.

Guys if you want to get in on the class that Ed Scott and have here in March, you need to sign up fast we only have three spots left out of the ten.

The bow is a little over 45 at his draw in warm weather a little more when its cold with the sinew backing. He used a cedar shaft 45/50 and a Magnus Classic. It is as good as it gets, I look for great things out of this young man. It was a pleasure having him here for that week of bow class.
