Dressing up black limbs?: Updated with pics.

I have a new bow coming my way that has the black fiberglass limbs. I've never been a big fan of the plain looking black glass, so I was wondering how some of you "dress up" or camo your black glass limbs. I have limb skins but don't really like them. Any pictures of your bows that you may have modified?

A can of spray paint can work wonders as well. :)You also can have the bow film dipped in most any camo pattern.I kind of like black glass myself and have been known to take a can of flat black paint to more than one clear glass bow limb.

I sprayed my Groves with gray/brown camo paint. Its a hunting bow, not a show piece. I just ordered myself a roll of 3D camo for my bows. I used this before and works great. The tape is very lightweight and doesn't harm the bow, peels off easily if you want and has no effect on performance. I like the added bonus of the 3D ASAT leafy effect also..a plus since I hunt from the ground. You can order it from ASATCAMO.COM.

Good black glass looks better than a botched up paint job.

I've been considering spray paint, I have the removable camo paint, but I haven't heard any results as far as it being easy to remove or not. I've also been considering the camo tape idea, just didn't know how well it would stick. I've had the limb wraps that you mentioned Mike, I just thought this time I would try something a little more durable. I appreciate all of your ideas, wish I could see some pictures.

Just leave it alone for a while, the black glass may grow on ya. I used to have the same feelings about black glass until I got a black glass limbed bow, it grew on me and I really like the looks of it now.

I think snake skin backing looks awesome on a bow and it gives it a natural camo pattern. That'd be my first choice over man made camo.

For the quickest and easiest I use non gloss camo tape. Then in the snow I switch to white. If I am in tan grass you bet, light brown. The Camellion system. Nobody's going to ooh and aww over the fanciness and beauty of it though. Some bows are for show and some for killin.

I ordered nothing BUT black glass the past 3 or 4 bows I had custom made it has great performance and there's nothing like it in the woods it disppears However if you want to dress it up I'd go for Skins.Don't try a paint job on a new bow. There was a recent thread to have it camo painted by a pro. It's here somewhere.

I've been using the camo tape from 3Rivers this year. It is sticking very well.
Last year I got some from Lone Wolf, and it was a mess to remove. The verdict on removable is still out on the 3Rivers stuff, but I am hopeful.
I had some years ago that was in Tree Bark it was great used it every year, went on nice came off as easy. They sure have had trouble with adhesives since then.

Okay...I'll give you my non-biased, open-minded, destined to be ignored opinion. DON'T PAINT IT!!
I happen to think black glass is very classy looking. You wouldn't spray paint a new black pickup truck! Or would you??? Well..who knows?
Heck use some green duct tape...that'll change it.
But then....I grew up with black glass.

I think I'm going to go with the "better safe than sorry" route and give the tape a try first.

Has anyone here had a bow film dipped? Got a bow coming I need to have refinished and since it's a hunting bow, not "eye candy" I was thinking of the dip...
Just wondering how durable it is and which place you guys would recommend?
