I suggest trying the limb wraps from Arrow Wraps. You can get a snakeskin look for little cost and effort and if you decide you'd rather go back to the CLASSY look of black glass you could. Assuming of course that they come off as easily as arrow wraps. Perhaps Adam could chime in here?? If you decide that you'd like real snake skin, you'd have that option too. This would give you a chance to try a change without it being permanent.

The Bighorn showed up. The bowyer is a very fine craftsman by the way. Before and after pictures.

Can arrow wraps skins or real skins for that matter, be put on the belly of recurve bow limbs, or would they tend to wrinkle when the limbs are flexed?

Don't know if they would wrinkle; but might affect the performance of the bow. Putting snake skins on any bow will take away a few fps. The arrow wraps are much lighter and the effect is likely minimal.
