I am interested in getting an Arkansas Stone for the step before stropping. I was curious if there is an inexpensive stone I can get that will do the job well..any suggestions?

Some vendors here sell those, or just do an online search. Ron from KME has stones available I think.

Some years ago I got a set from Buck that included both a medium and a hard stone, along with honing oil. I would imagine similar sets could be still be found. Have you checked with the sponsors? I hope you find one as I like mine better than any other stones I have used.
