I like paint, too much can go wrong with a mask.

Selfbow that's a good one!!

I use a mask mostly because of the mosquitos in S LA. but I really like being able to use paint when I can.

Always Paint, but wear hood/mask when its below 30. Then just pull it down when I am about to shoot something.

depends...
1. During Elk/mule deer season I am camped in the middle of no where and see no one and I use paint.
....on the other hand....
2.  while hunting whitetail I stay in a motel and eat in restaurants, so I wear a camo neck gator. The gator works great It covers my face and at crunch time at full draw I simply pull it down and then I can anchor  as usual.

That's the trouble I now have.  My beard is snow-camo.

Had a friend that let his daughter dye his hair camo, for an elk hunt. A little extreme I think.

My preseason preparation is more than scouting and shooting. I start growing a beard in July/August and I'm camouflaged and ready to hunt by September.

i usually rock a mohawk during bow season, so the warpaint most often  gets the nod. If I'm rushing around it's the mask, tree or ground. 99% ground hunter here.

Beard with Face paint and I hunt the ground. Sometimes just beard.

I haven't really noticed much difference as far as deer sightings or distance one way or the other.
