Beavertail Goodness!

Beavertail

Gussied up my ground blind special, a 56" Striker TDL longbow with beavertail goodies!
The riser work, grip and striker plate/shelf were done by Big Jim. It feels as sweet as it looks. He did a fantastic job with a quick turn around time to boot.
I also had Don at Eagle Flight Archery make a matching quiver out of beavertail. His work is top shelf. I liked how he made the leather section of the gripper out of matching beavertail too. Great attention to detail. His turn around time was phenomenal considering the amount and quality of the work.
Though both beavertail skins came from two different craftsman they are both AAA grade skins with deep patterns. They match perfectly, especially with the contrasting red stitching. Everyone who has seen it runs a finger on it just to feel the unique texture of this animals skin lol.
My Striker isn't made of eye popping exotic wood and is in fact very utilitarian, a true hunting set up, but with the beavertail bling ....... Well now it looks as good as it shoots!

Booth look great. I've wondered what an all beaver tail quiver would look like, thanks for posting it.

Very nice!  I just got a bow with my first beavertail grip on it, and it's now my favorite material.

I'm glad you guys like it! I know you all have great taste lol. Feel lucky that Trad Gang has so much info on tech stuff as well as contact info on the craftsmen available out there. The reviews have helped me a lot and wanted to give a bit back by my little "show and tell" post for those that have a vision of what they want. Very appreciative that there's craftsmen out there who know their craft, and we can enjoy the fruits of their labor.
