Hoyt buffalo and easton axis traditional arrows

I purchased a hoyt buffalo 62" 55#.  My draw length is 28".  I plan to shot easton axis traditional with 75 grain insert and 125 grain broadhead so 200 grains up front in total.  I wanted to hear what others shooting the hoyt buffalo and easton axis traditionals would suggest.  I was going to purchase 400's but the shop suggested 350's.

If I had that bow, I would be shooting 400s with 250 grains on the tip (insert and head combined).  I draw about 29 1/2 inches and cut my arrows to 30 1/8.  That combo has worked for me in nearly every bow from 55-60#.

I'm shooting a hoyt buffalo with f7 medium limbs 55lbs shooting a axis trad .400 spine with 75 grain insert and 150 vpa 3 blade with 1" 2018 footing

340 spine is out of the question if you ask me they will be far too stiff.

.400 is probably the appropriate choice .... if you're set on that insert weight and point weight, I'd bareshaft tune by starting with a full length shaft and cutting 1/4" off at a time.

I prefer to use standard diameter carbons because they accept brass screw in insert weights (they screw into the back of the insert from the nock end). This way I can choose an arrow spine and length and point weight, then tune by adding brass weights behind the insert.

axis shafts with the HIT insert is too narrow for this. You'll have to adjust the shaft length to get the proper spine.

I shoot 2 60" Buffalo's at 52 and 54# at 27in and shoot Axis Traditional 400's at 30in with 200grs of tip weight and they spine perfectly off my bows.  I would imagine you could tune those 400's to shoot well of your bow and just adjust shaft length to spine correctly.
