Every year it happens to me brother!  It seems work never lets me enjoy most of the best part of the season....it stinks big time!!!

This year I thought I was going to be off for the rut....but the BM of my local had different ideas for me and sent me too another job to try to straighten some things out.....99% of the rut will be spent at work again!!

Just getting home from work. Weather should be perfect this weekend. Lows in the 30's high around 60 high pressure system camped out for the next 4 days. And their doing this by my stand.

 

Only problem is I have to make a 1600 mile round trip to Louisiana.

 Bucks are starting to move around here ( N.E. Kansas ) Everyone at work has seen bucks the last couple of days.

I go off call at 0700 in the morning. If i do not get called in surgery tonight, I will spend the next three days off and in a tree. I do not have any decent bucks that call the farm home but they just show up this week. I will check the reconyx tomorrow in hopes they have returned.

I hope you are right YellowDog but the leadslingers take to the woods on Saturday and I can't get out until then. I am afraid I don't have time to figure out his daily routine. Going to sit in the area he is in and hope for the best.

I feel your pain. Stuck working nights right now. Two days ago I worked until 1 am got up at 4 and went out for a bit. Unfortunately I had to work again that night.

Beautiful buck. Hopefully he comes back while you're in the stand.

Yeah, I think I'd be sick tomorrow, if I were you! What a BEAST!!! I'm (literally) locked in a prison at night and hafta work double shifts pretty often, so I just go on my off days (just in case one of those doubles sneaks up on me).

Can't wait to see your hero pic with that fella!

 No sense in letting that buck get by so maybe I should get an early flight out and get a chance to hunt him for you...Man he's a Hog of a buck you lucky rascal you...Just all of a sudden eat something that will make you throw up in the office and they will make you leave...Distroy all evidence that you were on Tradgang on your office computer cause they just may know you faked it..

Hunting the "RUT" is over-rated   ;)   (that's why I save all my vacation to hunt it)...didn't see but 5 bucks & 1 doe yesterday..

Heading to the tree here in a couple of minutes..good luck to everyone that out.

Stuck on the computer and no tags to fill! I should be working on my computer on work stuff but just dreaming of hunts on here instead. Sucks to have all my deer hunting done by mid September here in Utah. Someday I need to do a November hunt for whitetails!
