Better late than never
« on: November 09, 2013, 05:22:00 PM »
I was going to post a picture and a short story of a buck I shot back in October. But life being what it is ,I got a little side tracked. So here it is,he's a 5x5 I shot near a wheat field that he was feeding in.I had his picture a few times on my trail cam and decided if I had the chance I would try for him. After sitting several evenings he came by my stand and I was able to get a good shot on him.He only went 60yds. or so before going down.I used one of my  homemade bows 62" 52#@28",a goldtip shaft and of coarse a ziwikey broadhead.Total arrow weight was 540grn.I also got a nice bear in the spring so I will post a pic of him also. All the best of luck this Whitetail season and stay safe,Dell.

Great hunting..

It seems you killed a spike elk a few years ago if I'm not mistaken. For some reason that is one of my favorite trophy photos. I always enjoy your posts and thanks for sharing.
