Coyote with longbow
« on: November 10, 2013, 07:36:00 PM »
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
I shot this with my firefly longbow while sitting on the ground in my hammock seat on a deadfall. It was a 20 yard shot. Got him in the lungs and heart. He had little to no reaction. He just turned and trotted away. I was sure I missed. He ran over a ridge and laid down. I am hoping to make a quiver out of him.

:clapper:    :clapper:    :clapper:  Thumperdunker on the forum might disagree, but coyotes with a bow are tough! I have killed a grand total of one with a stick and string. Congrats.

Pretty dog, I really like to see everyone get a shot at one. Around here they are mostly nocturnal. I have killed about a dozen. It's payback for all they have killed of mine.
