JD Berry Archery - Northstar "The Amazon Queen"
« on: November 12, 2013, 12:55:00 PM »
I have often talked about what it took for a bow to "do it!!" for me.

I've always said that when I put my hand to the bow it had to transport me to "Sherwood".

When I got my JD Berry Vixen "The Amazon Lady" I made the remark that I wasn't aware that "Sherwood" had any mountains in it but after shooting my Vixen I felt as if I had made it near the top of the "Sherwood" mountains.

Well, "The Amazon Lady" will have to get used to her new ranking because in this mornings mail "The Amazon Queen" arrived.

JD Berry Northstar "The Amazon Queen" 66" 46@28,
Zebra wood riser, brown glass on the back, white on the belly with bamboo cores.

As soon as I can get things figured out I hope to post a video of the very 1st arrows I shot from her.

God bless,Mudd

I came inside adjusted my brace height a touch and tied on a string nocking point.

I had to know and the only way to find out is to shoot it.

I shot 3 arrows at the pull tab ring.

PS: the pull tab ring is somewhere in/under that bunch of arrows...lol

Whoo Hoo! Glad that the postman didn't forget you today. IF by some chance you are NOT satisfied with the thing you call Amazon Queen, you can send it on down to me.

I see that Mr. Berry has done it again. Can barely wait to get mine!!!!

Danny please "DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH!!"

I was showing her off to Nick and the 1st arrow shot in his presence went through the pull tab ring.

I have a picture to prove it...lol But I think I could be seen as bragging if I were to post it up...lol

Aw! What the heck!

I hope you can tell from the picture that the arrow is through the tab ring.

This bow has rapidly moved to it's "Alpha" position.......just seemed like the natural position for her.

I think the "Amazon Lady" understands her place serving "The Queen"..lol

God bless,Mudd

PS: If I already said this please forgive me but "The Amazon Queen" has planted the flag atop the mountain for me!!!!

Awesome looking bow Mudd. The more pics you post of the reverse handle the more sense it's starting to make.

Mudd,
What a fantastic lookin Northstar. Due to work I haven't been able to shoot mine much lately BUT after a two week hiatus of shooting I stepped out Sunday to do a quick dozen shots and split a nock on my secon shot!!!!!  They are a very forgiving and accurate bow for sure

Congrats Roy, that's a superb looking bow.  Thanks for showing us the first arrows across her rest, but more than that, am glad to see you're back to good health and can enjoy her from the start.
