According to    http://www.eregulations.com/florida/hunting/taking-game/     , the online regulations guide, it says

"Longbows, compound bows, recurve bows and crossbows must have minimum draw weights of 35 pounds."

I thought it was 40 pounds before I looked it up.

35 all the way . And that is at the shooters draw, be it 28, 29, 25, 24, etc.  some naive game wardens may try to tell you @28 but that's horse puckey.

Kevin... I do believe we hunt the VERY same woods easily. I have sinced moved over to lake George but have lived in Lynn a few years and have quite a few honey holes all around there.

Edge,I am new to fla and have not hunted here yet.I hope to get the chance to next year.I wanted to take this time to learn the laws so I would not have any unpleasant experiences.

Im located in Pensacola and just moved down here in July! Do you hunt around Lake George and Lynn? I have been hunting public land up here a fair bit.
Maybe we can cross paths sometime

Kevin, its not too hard to get the hang of. Most people seem to get the seperate WMA zones mixed up and which ones need qoutas. Feel free to PM me any questions on laws or need help on some spots to hunt. I worked for FWC while going through college for a year.

Tracker, yes I frequently hunt both woods often and even through out the year I scout/walk the woods, I'm sure we will cross paths eventually. I actually myself use to live in Destin/fort Walton area as a kid growing up. I hope you both enjoy the new move, FL doesn't have the greatest size deer, but plenty of beautiful woods.
