Pics of Kanati's
« on: November 14, 2013, 07:08:00 PM »
I know this has been done before, I found another thread showing some pictures of Kanati bow's, but for some reason my computer only shows maybe 1 out of every 5 pictures??? If anyone has pictures of their Kanati, that would be very helpful.
I am most likely going to have to order a new one, as it seems like everybody that has a Kanati isn't getting rid of it-good thing I suppose!!!

Here is my Kanati right after Jason built it: walnut Dymondwood riser, actionboo limbs, red and black overlays, 46# @ 28", 58" long.

Complete passthrough at 22 yards with a Zwickey Delta.

Looks like this now with the leather on the grip.

My son Dave's camo Kanati:

Stacked veneers look very cool!

It worked too!

Kanati 58" 44# @ 28" Green glass on a green riser
Bear Kodiak Magnum 52" 45# @ 28"
Bodnik Slick Stick longbow 58" 40# @ 28"
Bodnik Kiowa 52" 45# @ 28"
Kanati 58" 46# @ 28" R.I.P (2007-2015)
Self-made Silk backed Hickory Board bow 67" 49# @ 28"
Bear Black Bear 60" 45# @28"

Here's one I had. It was 51# @ 28" and 58". It was a camo limb bow with a walnut dymondwood riser. A beauty, but I just didn't shoot is enough. My 46# got all the love, so I hated to just let it hang.

Balding Kansan ended up with it and it drew blood for him pretty quickly.

It flat smoked an arrow!

Thought some may like to see some pics of my "non-typical" Kanati.  The grip is not built up on the belly side and no coin on this one.  It is 58" and 52# @ 28".  I talked to Jason about this bow one time and he said it was among the first 1/2 dozen or so he built when he stated JK Traditions.

Wow Clark, a shot from yesteryear. I built quite a few before that but that would be one of the first official "Business" bows. It looks like it has been well taken care of!

Thanks for sharing, good memories from over 16 1/2 years ago. Damn I am getting old  :D

Rather than start a new thread, I figured I'd just add to this one. I picked up a new-to-me Kanati recently. I wasn't planning on it, but it looked lonely in the classifieds and I couldn't help myself.

My wife says I can be a critic...I say I'm just honest  :)   Well, nothing but great things to say about the bow. I'm truly impressed.

It is 58" and scales 49@29 and shoots my 525 grain arrows very flat and quietly. I love the maneuverability of this shorter bow and also the grip. The finish seems very durable...feel like I can't hurt it at all. The only modification I did was to put an 8 strand SBD string on it.

Here are few pics:
