I've hunted this area before it's a saddle above a thick bedding area.I shot him Nov.7 about 11:am. I don't thing he was cruising for does,I think he may have just got up to move around but who knows. From the time I saw him till I shot was'nt very long(the way I like it,no time to get shook up) the shot was about 10 yards,he ran about 35 yards and stopped I could see he was about done.He tried to run but ended up rolling farther down the hill just made it a tougher drag to get him out. I could see him laying there that's when the shakes hit me!I theeked my knee this summer it's been a bother ever since, but never felt it the rest of that day.We hunt mostly goverment ground it's just as good as private maybe better I think some of it may get hunted less than private land. All I can say is that's my smile.
