First Lite makes quality wool clothing but you'll pay for it.  The kanab pants are good

I picked up some wooltimate pants with windblocker from cabelas recently, nice product but they are covered in burrs and seeds of every sort. Stayed warm even when wet though. Seems like there should be something better that won't act like a seed collection garment, guess it's just extra camo LOL.

Good post. I was wondering that very thing today as the wind cut through my cotton fatigues. Thanks for posting and thanks for the replies.

Google Galatin Range. They are wool and have cargo pockets. About one Benjamin.

Gray Wolf, KOM, or Swanndri (if you can find them).  Burrs and whatnot are not a problem with any of these three.  I think KOM has the best pattern for the river bottoms I hunt but like the tighter weave of the Gray Wolf and Swanndri better.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I bought a pair of gray wool cargo pants from these people. Good pants, decent prices.

Ive got the wooltimate pants and vest, the windshear material is soft. they are a little heavy and do pick up hitchhikers.  But in cold weather i wear them alot and i do like them very much.

DayOne has the best cargo pocket in the business. In my (obviously) not so humble opinion! A double button hole affair that allows for too much stuff.
Very expensive, but as my Dad used to say; "They'll probably see you out..."
I have a pair in fleece that are 20 years+ old. Very tired now, so my next pair will be DayOne in Grey Wool.

Day One makes the best pants on the planet, IMO, regardless of the fabric. Everything you need in pair of pants they have. Their heavy fleece is every bit as good as wool but they also make a gray wool, I believe. Just got my wife a parka and pants with Deception fleece. Should be here any day. I have a few years old parka and pants with Predator Fall Brown. I should use it more as deer look right thru me when I wear it in stands that are sparse when the leaves drop.

Another vote for the Cabela's wooltimate.  Seems to go on sale on a regular basis and it's pretty affordable when it does.

Be advised..... the Columbia Gallatin Range is super thick and warm but only on windless days ! If you have a 10MPH or more you might as well be dressed is screen door material. I am huge wool fan and love it..... Asbell, Columbia, Ullfrotte, Minus 33, Gray Wolf, Cabelas, etc. On windy days I wear my Gray Wolf or Cabelas that has a wind liner. I hunted yesterday in 35 degrees with a 10MPH wind that was mis-predicted and I got a tad cold on top with my Asbell Timber Ghost Zip up and Ullfrotte longjohns on. Wind cut thru on me.

Did I mention that the new Asbell zip up in Timber Ghost is the Cat's Pajamas !!! Love that pattern, it is INVISIBLE up a white oak tree...  :archer2:
