I like uninsulated bibs so I can layer appropriately under them

I got the Gray Wolf uninsulated wool and they are nice. Real tight weave wool bucks the wind real well, got room to add layers underneath.

Cabelas Stand Hunter Extreme look pretty good too. They are the same material as Wooltimate but are insulated, from the reviews it sounds like they built for the north pole....and they are on a great sale right now!

I like wool, I have some by Johnson and a camo pair from Cabelas. Both work well.

When I worked outside year round, I wore uninsulated Carhart bibs, and just a pair of jeans under them.  I always kept moving, so it was more to keep the wind off.  Now I'm less acclimated to the elements and work indoors so my choice is Columbia wool bibs..

Some of the best places to start are Day One Camo for the ASAT wool bibs, KOM, Grey Wolf Woolens and Filson olive drab bibs.
I too suggest uninsulated, but buy them big, like one size plus bigger. From there you can hem if needed.

In really cold temps, anything other than wool or fleece can make noise. But if in northern cold temps, fleece doesn't do nearly as much for you after temps dip below the 20's. If with typical traditional archery short ranges, anything other than wool in the bitter calm of a 10 degree day is going to make noise. Cold temps bring out the noise in everything, from stands to boots to gloves.

I have some of all of the above mentioned companies products. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar, the Day One ASAT wool outfit/head to hem, offers the some of best all-around late season coverage. Not just for staying warm, but by late season, the ASAT really blends in like little else. The KOM grey and Grey Wolf Predator are a very close 2nd for late season camo. The Filson olive drab is great stuff, but you should be in a like background, with either evergreens or big logs/blowdown, since the olive "blobs", especially late season.

Now, the wools mentioned are not cheap. If cost is a make or break issue, there are some good fleece options, but I'd also suggest making sure you have lots of room for layering.

My son wears the cabelas berber extreme and loves them. (on sale right now) I ordered the whitetail bibs from cabelas this morning after freezing my butt off yesterday in strong cold winds. They came in tall size where the extreme didn't.

The best single article of bowhunting gear I've ever owned is my pair of Sitka Bibs.  The Stratus model not the Fanatic.

I've been using these very heavily for three years and they still look brand new. Warm, quiet and zippered pockets in the right places and deep front pockets for hand warmers. Built in suspenders work great also.

When it gets really cold I like my shrunken King of the Mountain Hillbilly bibs.

I bought a pair a few years ago really cheap that were two sizes too big and shrunk them.  They had not been hemmed and I figured they'd shrink a lot in length.  They did.  I just kept washing them and drying them until they were the perfect size to allow some layering underneath.  The process really tightened up the weave and made them more wind resistant than other KOM garments I have.

I have one from Cabelas. It is medium weight, loose fitting, and un-insulated. It does not usually get bitter cold down here so this weight allows for layering.

Bibs have become big with me when its 35 or less. I have a pair of cheap Holofill bibs. I couple them with my KOM Bowman jacket. I find I don't need a bulk type of insulation on my arms. When its really cold out comes the Heater Body Suit.
