Inspired by Ron Laclair, I made a poem about my arrows. I made them with Magnus Wild Turkey feathers, best of the best. And Matt is a terrific guy. So I dedicate this poem to him. I am curious if he finds it...
The poem is about 3D archery, totally different from hunting.
My arrows are just 8.6 gpp and have a Foc of 9%, and have a 5 inch helical fletching. Crowning and cresting is hand painted, 4 layers. They are well tuned to my bows, and they fly very very straight with terrific speed. That's what we need for all the 3D tournaments in Europe, where big distances become more and more common.
So here we go...
Wild Turkey arrows
Down in the field, competitors all along,
Your sight is keen and your will is strong.
There are many targets, challenging and far away
Early frost and a pale sun promise a beautiful day.
Suddenly you're on for your first shot and oh boy,
Bow and arrow sing a song from pure joy...
The target can hardly been seen and is steep downhill,
But there it is, you shot a perfect first kill!
Then you know there is no need for sorrows,
Because you know you can kill them all, with your wild turkey arrows
Ok, ofcourse we need some pics here...
This how they look:
And I shot this bison downhill at 70 yards right in the center kill with my first arrow. I shot the one behind, at 85 yards also with my first arrow in the kill. The hairs on my arms went up... The beauty is I have three witnesses....
Thanks for looking and reading!
