3 piece TD case recommendation
« on: December 09, 2013, 06:52:00 PM »
I am in need of a case for my 3 piece takedown RER longbow.  Any recommendations.  RER recommends the SafariTuff case carried by 3 Rivers.  These limbs have a pretty good curl when unstrung.  Was wondering if I wanted something suitable for a recurve.

U can buy one of those mtm Black arrow cases and than cut the foam to fit your riser and limbs.

Just sent you an email Tony, but also recommend safari tuff. Rod has an RER LX exactly like the bow you have now.

Oh yeah, Safari Tuff. The big case that holds two sets of limbs.

I made one out of the MTM arrow case. It works good. But it turns out that it is really for throwing all kinds of stuff in there. I'm going to buy a bigger one. I'd like the have the Blackwidow hard case but $$!

I ordered the hard case from Bob Lee when I ordered my new bow. Don't have it yet but it looks awesome.

Safari Tuff all the way. If you have any questions, Rod will get you lined out. He ships free to boot.

Thanks for the recommendations.  Safari Tuff case looks good as well at the tube from Far North Archery.   The tube sure looks like it would protect my investment.

I use the SafariTuff with an RER recurve and it works perfectly.  I slip it into a hard bottom rolling duffle packed with cloths for padding and hand it over to airline goons without a bit of worry.

Joe, there is a picture of an open Rhino case in the upper left of the home page of Rod's site.

It is a great case with plenty of room.  With an extra set of limb sleeves can even hold two bows.

Safari Tough makes a great case.  Make SURE you get one long enough.  Mine is made for a recurve and my LB limbs won't fit inside.
