Asbell wool delivery?
« on: December 14, 2013, 06:49:00 AM »
Roger or anybody happen to know how Teresa's coming on the wool orders?  I bought a blanket a couple week's ago. It's actually for the wife and I would just like to find out if it will make delivery by Christmas.  I figured after they got all that free advertising from Ron modeling it at Shrewhaven there'd be an order spike and tried to get mine in before it hit. I can't get an e-mail or phone reply, but I'm sure they'e busy.

I bought a new zip up a couple weeks ago and it took a little over a week to get it.  I was happy with the time frame.  No doubt this time of year is busy for them.

I ordered a quiver and haversack and talked to Teresa in late November. She said she would be mailing it the following week. Still hasn't showed up. Hope it isn't lost in the mail somewhere.

I ordered a zipper jacket on 12-2 and just got the  'it has shipped' email yesterday ...so sounds like they are pretty busy.   Give it some time.   :)

I ordered a blanket on the 2nd and not here yet.  With the holidays and being a one woman shop, I figure it will be here next week.

I think that they are a small business that does a great job, but can get overwhelmed easily. Things like Ron's statement are good and bad.  Good cause we get a free critique and heads up about a new product, but bad because, all of a sudden there is an immediate market, at least for a handful, and they have to then come up with them.

Old Dog, I am in the same boat, ordered a quilt for my wife, for Xmas.  Hoping I get it in time for that, but plan B is a card with a promise and a drawing.  Having dealt with the Asbells's before, I know I will get it, and I will like it.

It'll get here.

I ordered a pullover the Friday after Thanksgiving and received it this past Monday the 9th.  It's the first thing I've purchased from them.  After receiving this I can assure you it will not be the piece of wool I buy from her.  The fit is awesome and the quality is much higher than I expected for the price.

They make some great products guys.  The 'little luck stitched into each one' aint no joke, Ive seen more critters wearing my wool than anything else.  This is a small business putting out quality stuff.  Lets not expect them to keep up with email and shipping like Cabelas, prolly too busy stitching!   :D

Hey guys - I know for sure Teresa is busy as an elf right now. For my orders, she told me that 12-15 was the cutoff in order to make it by Christmas. So if you ordered through me, you WILL have it before Christmas.

I can't speak to orders direct with Teresa, but I know her intention is to have everything shipped asap. I assume that 12-15 was the cutoff for direct orders also.

If you are still expecting something from Mrs. Asbell, please email her....but understand she is absolutely spending more time sewing and shipping than answering the phone or emails. Thanks guys, thanks for understanding. This is absolutely her crazy time of year.

Just got the email,  mine shipped.

Yup,  just wait, you will get it.

They are trying hard to please us all.  On top of that... believe it or not... they have a life too !

Thank you Teresa (and Fred),  hope you have a Merry Christmas.

I was starting to get concerned over an order that I made for a couple hooded jackets.... got the email at the first of the week and they showed up yesterday....  It took a couple days longer than the blanket, but I ordered it at the end of Nov.

Patience is a virtue.... even during the Christmas Season!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I just spoke with Teresa. She was busy as heck. She reiterated that 12-15 is the cutoff for Christmas delivery. Orders already in WILL make it in time. Note...after the 15th, they are shutting the sewing down for about 2 weeks for Christmas.

Roger-
Thank you for going the extra mile to give us this information when you were not obliged to do so.

I have always had great service with the Asbell's and didn't doubt her in the least.

Merry Christmas to all!
