Congrats on as monster. How did you get a draw on him?. Was he looking away or passed behind a tree? I'm trying to limit getting busted on the ground.

Heavy cover over my head and behind me, relatively dark in the blind. Had the bow pointed before he reached the lane and just eased it on back.

By dressed I assume you mean on the hoof? Have not weighed a deer in years, but I would guess a little over 200 pounds, but I could be way off. His neck was just beginning to swell and had not blown up yet.(We have a very late rut). Could not find any thing wrong with him, but he seemed a little poor, however, that pic was taken after he was gutted and had hung in cold storage for some time. The biggest bodied deer I've ever killed weighed 286 and it seemed noticebly bigger than this deer. The biggest bodied deer I ever seen was killed by my uncle in 1983 and was weighed at the Natchez cold storage at 318 pounds. He only had a 14 inch wide 10 point rack that went 135 inches, go figure!
