Predator camo....neat pic!
« on: December 19, 2013, 08:27:00 PM »
I set up a trail cam near one of my favorite stand awhile back. Finally got around to pulling the sd card and had a picture that I feel really shows the effectiveness of Predator camo. Hope the photo works! Mike

Maybe its my imagination, but the pants look different from the jacket.  Pants look like the orignal predator.

Tall Paul-good eye! The pants are actually Predator Gray and the shirt is Predator Brown. Bought the jacket new from Gray Wolf Woolens, a sponsor her and I picked the pants up here on the classifieds.

magnus, she was moving at a pretty good clip so I passed the shot. Won't be able to get back out until Christmas Eve in the afternoon and I am hoping she comes by! Mike

I don't know that I would have found him if not for the ladder.

I've got a ton of the old predator.  We bought a bunch of material when such purchases were possible and cheap.  My wife can sew anything .

So many of the camos create MIB's.  You know, Men-in-Black.

Cool pic. I love Predator camo. I respectfully disagree about any camo looking impressive with a black and white photo though.

If that same picture was taken with most of the popular patterns from Mossy Oak or Realtree, the differences would be striking.  Especially since he doesn't have a large tree directly behind him.
Take care,
Jason

Ken, it is the original Predator patter. The shirt is in Predator brown and the only place that I am sure it is available is from Gray Wolf Woolens. The Predator gray pattern is still available from several places.

Mike, thats a great pic.

Are you wearing the cotton shirt or wool.

I love the patterns of predator camo. I have serveral shirts and pants. They are well made and last a long time. My only complaint would be that my cotton shirts make to much noise for me. Especially inside 20 yrds. Do you do anything to soften them up? Gray Wolf makes them in wool but they are a little out of my price range.

A black/white photo is much better in determining the effectiveness of a camo pattern for deer because  they're essentially color blind. Color patterns that may appeal to humans in the store "blob out" when viewed as a deer would see it.
